Practice-Based Coaching (Summer University)

July 15 @ 9:00 am - July 16 @ 4:00 pm

This two-day workshop will provide information about how to implement the core features of the Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) framework, including tools coaches can use to implement PBC as intended (with fidelity) and how to use a tiered model to support just-right coaching for all practitioners. PBC is an evidence-based approach for supporting practitioners to use effective practices with children birth to age 5 and their families. PBC includes three key components (1) goal setting and action planning, including a strengths and needs assessment, (2) focused observation, and (3) reflection and feedback. These key components occur in the context of a collaborative partnership. Participants will explore tools coaches use to implement the key components of PBC and discuss how to make adaptations to these tools to enhance their utility within their own coaching context. Participants will receive the Essentials of Practice-Based Coaching: Supporting effective practices in early childhood in the workshop.

**Session is open to Pyramid PIECES/SCPI partner districts only**
